Built in 1936, the Mount Wilson Observatory Astronomical Museum features historical photographs taken by the Mount Wilson telescopes as well as photographic & documental histories of the Observatory and vignettes of current research programs. A 256-seat auditorium, used for our Talks & Telescopes lecture series and our Matinees on the Mountain film series, adjoins the exhibit area.
