Our popular Public Ticket Nights allow individuals, rather than just groups, to experience the thrill of viewing celestial objects through our large, historic telescopes, the 60 and 100 inch telescopes–the two largest in the world dedicated to public viewing.

Join a small group of individuals to observe the Universe through the famous 60-inch Telescope, which revolutionized astronomy and allowed astronomer Harlow Shapley to find our place in the Milky Way Galaxy. The group is limited to just 20 people, so you will have the opportunity to see many objects through this amazing instrument. Tickets are limited to four per registrant.

The telescope sessions are guided by an experienced telescope operator and session director, both with a thorough knowledge of the best objects to observe and the history of the Observatory, to enhance your experience. You are invited to bring any food and non-alcoholic drinks you wish. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are provided. Please bring extra warm clothing, as it is usually cooler on the mountain than down in the valley. Come up and share a spectacular night of astronomy with other space enthusiasts. Individuals reserving these tickets agree to the conditions and rules which apply to all our telescopes sessions (see terms and conditions below). No children under 12 are permitted.

The astronomical seeing on Mount Wilson is often exceptional. Don’t miss this opportunity to come up by yourself or with a few friends or family to explore space!

Tickets: $110 per person
